چکیده

Let Aq (α, α, k) be the scattering amplitude, corresponding to a local potential q(x), x ∈ R3, q(x) = 0 for |x | > a, where a > 0 is an arbitrary large fixed number, α, α ∈ S2 are unit vectors, S2 is the unit sphere in R3, α is the direction of the incident wave, k2 > 0 is the energy. We prove that given an arbitrary function f (α) ∈ L2(S2), an arbitrary fixed α0 ∈ S 2, an arbitrary fixed k > 0, and an arbitrary small ε > 0, there exists a potential q(x) ∈ L2(D) where D ⊂ R3 is a bounded domain such that ‖Aq (α , α0, k)− f (α ′)‖L2(S2) < ε. (∗) The potential q , for which (∗) holds, is not unique. We give a method for finding such a q , and a formula for this q. c © 2007 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved. Uniqueness of the solution to inverse scattering problem with scattering data at a fixed direction of the incident wave

Let q(x) be real-valued compactly supported sufficiently smooth function. It is proved that the scattering data A(β, α0, k) ∀β ∈ S, ∀k > 0, determine q uniquely. Here α0 ∈ S is a fixed direction of the incident plane wave. MSC: 35P25, 35R30, 81Q05; PACS: 02.30.Jr; 02.30.Zz; 03.65.-w

Many-body wave scattering by small bodies and creating materials with a desired refraction coefficient

Many-body scattering problem is solved asymptotically when the size of the particles tends to zero and the number of the particles tends to infinity. A method is given for calculation of the number of small particles and their boundary impedances such that embedding of these particles in a bounded domain, filled with known material, results in creating a new material with a desired refraction c...

Uniqueness of the Solution to Inverse Obstacle Scattering Problem

It is proved that the scattering amplitude known at a fixed frequency, a fixed direction of the incident plane wave and all directions of the scattered wave in a solid angle, however small, determine uniquely the shape of a strictly convex obstacle with a smooth but not analytic boundary on which the Dirichlet boundary condition is assumed.
